Welfare Reform Training Course

A review of recent benefit changes in 2017/18, with a focus on Universal Credit. A full day training course.

Welfare Reform continues apace, with significant changes to some major benefits in 2017 and due to be implemented in 2018. This Welfare Reform Training Course looks at the various changes, including a closer look at Bereavement Support, changes to Employment & Support Allowance, the benefit cap and the two-child limit. We shall focus in the afternoon session on the main aspects of Universal Credit and it's continued roll-out.

Recommended for non-advice sector professionals whose service users will be affected by the changes discussed. A basic understanding of the current benefit system would be helpful for participants to get the most from this session.

We had the following feedback on previous courses:

"I feel that I now understand the changes .. and will be equipped to support and advise and know when to signpost on"

"Excellant delivery of course content, well explained, all questions answered"
