The Project

Thanks to funding from the Access to Justice Foundation’s “Improving Outcomes Through Legal Services” funding, Community Law Service is now delivering advice to members of Community Larders across West Northamptonshire.

Recognising that many people who are members of the larders are facing financial hardship but may have difficulties accessing advice, Community Law Service approached The Hope Centre to explore the possibility of collaboration, which was welcomed.  Community Law Service made a successful application for funding to The Access to Justice Foundation; The Hope Centre generously also made a contribution to the funds.  This combined funding enables 2 full time advisors to work with the Community Larders and their members.

Delivery began in July 2023.  In the first 8 months the team advised on 350 separate issues for larder members.

Advice is available to anyone who is a member of a Community Larder in West Northamptonshire.
